Who is RACE Incorporated?

R.A.C.E. (Inc) stands for Racing at Awapuni, Otaki and Trentham Combined Enterprise Incorporated. RACE (Inc) was formed in July 2002 as the umbrella corporate entity for the Awapuni Partnership of Racing Clubs Manawatu Racing Club (Inc), Marton Jockey Club (Inc), Feilding Jockey Club (Inc), Rangitikei Racing Club (Inc). The Wellington Racing Club joined the Group in October 2005 with the Otaki-Maori RC coming aboard in August 2007.

Administration & Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking a professional, personable and energetic Coordinator to join the Marketing and Events team at Wellington Racing Club and Otaki-Maori Racing Club. If you relish the chance to work with likeminded individuals to deliver extraordinary events, this is your chance to join the dynamic industry of racing.

This is a varied Part Time role where you will be working 24 - 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday racedays (approx. 12 per annum). The applicant also needs to be flexible to full time hours as and when needed.

You will be responsible for providing support to the Marketing & Operations Manager, by providing ongoing sales, administration and marketing support.

 Tasks include but are not limited to:

•           Customer service and sales for event bookings

•           Administrative organisation

•           Marketing/advertising support

•           Sourcing and implementing theming for raceday set up

•           Website updates and management

•           Database management

•           Proof reading

We're looking for a driven and motivated individual, with strong administration skills, with at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar admin / PA role.

You will need to be able to demonstrate:

•           Excellent organisation and time management skills

•           Outstanding attention to detail

•           A friendly, helpful and enthusiastic attitude with a personable phone manner

•           The ability to multitask, take initiative and think outside the box to gain a solution

•           Strong technology and computer skills including Microsoft Office and social media

•           The readiness to muck in and get your hands dirty

•           Excellent written & spoken English

•           A great personality and a sense of humour

Previous experience in events and marketing is an advantage but is not essential.

The nature of the role and the culture within the RACE group requires that the person in this position is an absolute team player and committed to working in any capacity even outside of the current job description to assist the Group as a whole.
