Members Stand tickets can be purchased for $20 each (Non Members) or Members can purchase up to two additional tickets for $15 each. Tickets purchased prior to race day include gate entry. Tickets can also be purchased on the day from the Raceday office but do not include gate admission (credit card fees may apply)

MEMBERS DRAW

A MEMBER ON COURSE COULD WIN $50 000! BUT YOU MUST BE HERE TO WIN! 

A great extra incentive for any RACEinc Racing Club members to be at Trentham! 
All you have to do is scan your Membership card to tell us that you are on course then you could win $50,000!

Simply scan in on arrival before Race 2 using your Members card (not guest card) either at the office prior to Race 1 or there will be a roving scanner through the Members stand between Race 1 and 2.
The draw with those scanned & registered will take place after Race 2 and the winner notified via the loudspeaker system then must present themselves prior to Race 3 to the race day office.
The Member must then correctly choose the winners in 4 selected races at Trentham (determined by the WRC) at least 15 minutes before the first chosen race.
If all four selections are winners, the member will take home $50 000 ! 

PUNTERS CLUB

A Punters Club will be held on the day with tickets only $5 each and available from the office and select totes before Race 3. Todays selector will be advised.
All bets will be placed on races 3 through to the second to last race at Trentham. Any dividend will be declared after the second to last race and paid out from any on course tote on the day.

FRESH NEW SEASON OYSTERS!

Bluff Oysters freshly shucked and a glass of Henkell Trocken - a match made in heaven!  

With a shucker provided courtesy of Direct Fish & Oysters, buy an Oyster (or dozen) from the tent in the forecourt to start your Oaks Day in the ultimate style.

THE RUNNING OF THE BRIDES

An extra race on todays card!

The Wellington Racing Club is proud to present the third annual “Running of the Brides” on Wellfield NZ Oaks Day, just after race 4! (approx 2.15pm tbc)

Whether you are married, single, or always the bridesmaid and never the bride; get a dress & start running. This 150m sprint down the track will definitely get the blood pumping!

All you need is a wedding dress and to get your running shoes on. The winner will take home a fabulous prize.

ELDERBERRY + KATE BEST DRESSED

There is no better place to dress to impress than a day at Wellington Races. Take the opportunity to pull out your best fascinator and heels or trilby and tie - the Elderberry + Kate, Fashion in the Field judges will be looking! 

The lovely ladies from the exclusive wellness spa, Elderberry + Kate,  will be searching the crowd looking for the thirty best dressed guests on course. If you are lucky enough to be selected from the crowd you will be invited to the Finalists Parade in the Birdcage. With four categories and only one Supreme Elderberry + Kate Best Dressed Winner, there are some fabulous prizes up for grabs.

Multiple tables purchased under the same name will be seated together. When booking, please include a "table name" to ensure we can place your group together.

Single tickets $80 per person. 

*Single tickets will receive a glass of bubbles to toast the day on a shared table. Multiple singles purchased with the same name will be seated together. Less than full table (6) purchases may be required to share a table.

Note that our tables are designed to seat 6 comfortably. While we do not recommend it for comfort, 7 can usually be made to fit- however will be tight. Unfortunately eight is definitely not achievable. If you do book more seats than for one table, we will do our best with the table plan to place them together.

In the event of inclement weather the Milling Floor or The Oaks Room will be used.

Located on Level 3 of the Members Stand, our 9 Corporate Boxes are prime real estate with a view second to none at Trentham.

We have a number of different capacity boxes available starting with a 15 guests minimum.

Your day at Trentham includes: 

  • Course admission
  • Access to the Members facilities at Trentham
  • Access to members carparking located off Racecourse Road for your guests
  • Your exclusive corporate box for a minimum 15 guests (to a maximum of 70) set with tables, chairs and bar-leaners. Lift access available.
  • Racebook and pen for each guest
  • Televisions managed by the TAB and full views of the racecourse
  • Extensive beverage service available (beverages not included  in package)
  • Buffet style luncheon with dessert and afternoon tea
  • TAB Betting facilities plus toilets located via the foyer outside your exclusive corporate box

 Trentham’s  tiered  restaurant  with  a  stunning  outlook  over  the  Birdcage  and racetrack  within  the  Members’  Stand  showcases  our Chef’s expertise  with  a  four  course  meal.  The  dress  code is smart casual. 

Your day at Trentham includes:

  • Course admission and entrance to the Members’ facilities 
  • Access to members carpark 
  • Your reserved dining with racebook for each guest and full views of the racecourse

GETTING TO TRENTHAM

By train

With the Trentham Rail Station (on the Hutt Valley Line) only 300m from the racecourse main turnstiles (hopefully via the overbridge), taking a train to the races makes for a no-hassle transport solution. 
The standard Train timetable is: Leaving central Wellington every 30 minutes (5 minutes past and 35 minutes past the hour), approx time from City to Trentham is 40 mins. Return trains to Wellington from Trentham also leave at 5 minutes past and 35 minutes past the hour.Click here for Metlink timetables and updates.

By car

Trentham Racecourse is located on Racecourse Road. Public parking is available on Racecourse Road and surrounding areas. Members, Owners, Jockeys & Trainers are invited to park in the Leger Car Park at the Northern end of the course (Access 150m past the turnstiles on Racecourse Road) . The forecourt is available for parking for todays meeting for those arriving early. Click here for Google Maps
