Rail overbridge at Trentham is back in action 17 Dec 2014

Great news for train travellers to the races at Trentham with the rail overbridge being back in action.

Initially damaged beyond repair when in for final painting, the new and revamped overbridge has been replaced in mid December and users will notice that the stairs have also been replaced.

Better handrails and non-slip steps will provide much safer movement from the east to west platforms. While Wellington Cup Day trains are normally run from the Racecourse platform (eastern side), most other days continue to use the western platform. While under repair, racegoers have had to use the pedestrian rail crossing aligned with Camp Road which meant an additional 400 plus metres.
