Marvelles first race 19 Feb 2015

Marvelle had her first outing at Tauherenikau recently and did us proud!

Marvelle (Alice) showed a terrific turn of foot and at the 300 metres came to the end of her run but didn’t throw in the towel and fought all the way to the line. The Members who came to watch were very proud, wearing our Marvelle caps we had a great time meeting Trainer Gary Vile for a strategy chat and having a debrief with Jockey Rosie Myers after the race.

Gary advises she has come through the Tauherenikau run very well “I was worried she may have felt the track but she is very free in her action. I think we should look to keep her ticking over until we get a shower of rain. Rosie had indicated on the day that any easing of the track will help her so we will just keep an eye on the weather and what races are coming up.”

For those of you who are interested in getting your own horse with Gary he has a 2yo filly by Pins out of Regal Halo (who is a 3 win Canadian mare) broken-in and ready to come into work in two weeks. She is leased and there is 60% available in her and people may take shares as big or small as they wish. If you want a very cost effective entry into ownership then contact Gary on 0274 519 116.

I’ll be in touch when we know where Marvelle will next start and look forward to more Members joining us.
